The Board of Directors of CICC Tabakalera has Named the San Sebastian inhabitant, Oihana Zarra Larrea, as the new manager
During the meeting of the Board of Directors held on the afternoon of December 12, in addition to choosing the new Manager, Bingen Zupiria (the Minister of Culture and Language Policy for the Basque Government) was likewise named as a new board member and as President of the Board.
CICC Tabakalera S. A.'s Board of Directors, in its meeting held today, December 12, 2016, discussed the following matters:
As a result of the establishment of the new Basque Government, for the moment, one of the five ministers that this institution shall have has joined the Board. Thus, the Minister of Culture for the Basque Government, Bingen Zupiria Gorostidi, will be –starting today– a member of the Tabakalera Board of Directors and, additionally, he shall act as President of the Board.
After the selection process put into motion in October, the naming of Oihana Zarra Larrea as the Manager of CICC Tabakalera S. A. was unanimously approved.
Oihana Zarra Larrea (San Sebastián, 1978) has a business/financial background. She holds a Degree in International Business Sciences from the Comillas ICADE Pontifical University (Madrid) and has developed her professional career in different multinational companies of the telecommunications sector. In recent years, she has acted as the Senior Manager for Corporate Strategy and Development in the strategy consulting firm Oliver Wyman (Madrid). Said company has a staff of 3,000 workers. The new Manager shall begin her duties on January 2.
The Board of Directors has approved the budget for operating expenses for the year 2017, which shall be €5,852,529.30. Each of the three institutions (the Basque Government, the Regional Government of Gipuzkoa, and the City Hall of San Sebastián) shall provide €1,600,000 for the budget. To that, another €1,048,078.13 from Tabakalera's own sources shall be added.
Likewise, next year's Work Plan –presented by the management and corresponding to the Cultural Projects, Communications, Development, Management, and Technical Areas– has been approved.
