- Year: 2018
Survival on a hostile planet
is going to depend on how we re-adapt and use our model of collective thinking,
as well as our basic knowledge of tools for environmental exploration, research and monitoring.
We're going to be astronauts on our own planet.
Artur R. Castillo and Xose Quiroga from the IMVEC collective
This group has been launched in collaboration with IMVEC (Institute for Monitoring and Surveillance of Contaminated Areas) and is open to all those interested in issues related to contaminated environments, citizen science, nature and its evolution, survival and others.
The group will work remotely and via video conference, although in-person attendance is also possible in Hirikilabs every Wednesday (except public holidays) from 19:00 to 20:30, January 31, 2018 onwards. The Hangar community will also join the group.
Our work will take us along a fine line between fiction and reality. The group is a space for learning and enjoyment with the people who use Hirikilabs and those who connect with us from who knows where.
Issues which the group will address:
Audiovisual production with open-source software
Project design and prototyping with open-source hardware
