Osías Yanov’s work lies in the interdisciplinary threshold between dance and sculpture. His art uses shape, expression and symbolism to explore identity, reconfigure the body, and get closer to ecstasy and liberation. In 2006 he founded the Rosa Chancho art collective with four other members, who together use performance to create narrative experiences which eliminate the distinction between the group and the individual. In recent years, Yanov has focussed on his solo projects. His latest works have been exhibited in MALBA (Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires) in Argentina, Museo Precolombino in Chile, Casa del Alabado in Quito, Ecuador, Gasworks in London, UK, and at the 11th Gwangju Biennale in South Korea.
